Deputy Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Chief Financial Officer to join our growing team at Community Support Services, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic direction and leadership for all aspects of our financial operations.
  • Manage accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results.
  • Establish and maintain accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations.
  • Assist with external audits and maintain procedures for accounting for the receipt of funds and cash batch entries.
  • Ensure that bank reconciliations are completed monthly and maintain procedures for providing invoices to state, county, and private sources of funding in accordance with budgets and tuition.
  • Prepare billing statements and other financial reports, and monitor collections and accounts receivable.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in accounting in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Masters degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Senior level accounting work with financial audit experience.
  • Experience with fixed assets accounting, financial statement preparation, and knowledge of regulatory and other financial standards and requirements.
  • Experience preparing federal and state tax filings, general ledger analysis, and financial statement preparation.
  • Nonprofit experience a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of DDA billing systems (PCIS2 and LTSS) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (SericNav) a plus.
