Job Summary

The Market Controller is a key member of the US LBM team, responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance functions across multiple operating companies within a region. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the accounting and finance teams, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of financial operations.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to identify and implement best practices in financial management.
  • Provide financial support to operating company associates, including sales order entry, inventory processing, and other business transactions.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Manage the credit and collection functions, including enforcing credit policies, determining credit risk, and extending credit to customers.
  • Participate in month-end closes, including explaining business results, assisting with research of variations from prior periods, and recording journal entries.
  • Oversee the execution of local financial control procedures and assist with internal and external audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of management and leadership experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on supervisory experience and public company experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other financial software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Travel Requirements
  • 20% travel required, with occasional overnight stays.
