CNC Machinist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team at Babbitting Service Inc. (BSI). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setting up and programming CNC lathes, with a focus on producing high-quality machined parts.

• Set up CNC lathes by installing, adjusting, and cutting chucks, tools, attachments, and collets.
• Verify first-run parts for acceptance and maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting processes.
• Adjust cutting feeds and speeds for optimum performance and troubleshoot processes as needed.
• Use advanced knowledge of CNC controls and blueprint reading skills to ensure accurate part production.
• Work with measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, to ensure high-quality results.

• 3+ years of experience in CNC lathe machining.
• Advanced knowledge of CNC controls and programming.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerances.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
