Job Overview
As a Senior Electromechanical Technician, you will provide high-level technical assistance in a manufacturing setting, executing tasks that may be standardized or unique, involving a series of operations related to the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of a diverse range of electromechanical products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize detailed drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and clear verbal or written instructions to assemble products.
- Employ formal education and practical experience to follow established testing protocols, using basic testing tools such as multimeters to troubleshoot and perform routine measurements on electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Independently set up and operate testing equipment that requires data interpretation, including oscilloscopes and signal generators, to verify product functionality, and carry out repairs or component replacements as necessary.
Additional Duties
- Perform assembly and repair tasks as needed, which may include soldering.
- Conduct tests or experiments of moderate complexity, which may necessitate adjustments to testing setups or methodologies.
- Analyze data to ensure its relevance, practicality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Gather and compile technical information from recognized sources with minimal guidance and present findings as required.
- Set up and manage sophisticated testing and experimental equipment, document test results, process the data, and present it effectively.
- Service and repair instruments and equipment as necessary.
- Engage in discussions regarding technical challenges with team leaders or senior technicians.
- Execute a variety of functional and operational tests while developing procedures and data sheets for transitional programs or product enhancements. Collaborate with engineers to ensure a seamless transition of new products and testing protocols to the production floor.
- Provide technical guidance to team members and support personnel as needed.
- Ensure the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials and waste as required, with program-specific training provided.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting the most efficient processes and procedures for assigned tasks.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
