Lexington, Kentucky, United States Groups: recover together. Full time
Position Overview

Groups Recover Together is a leading outpatient provider specializing in addiction medicine, dedicated to offering comprehensive treatment for opioid dependency. Our care model is founded on the understanding that recovery encompasses various life aspects that extend beyond traditional office visits. We employ three essential modalities that have been proven effective in helping individuals reclaim their lives: medication management, weekly group therapy sessions, and personalized care navigation. We take pride in delivering high-quality clinical treatment and collaborative support necessary for fostering a fulfilling sober life.

Key Responsibilities

As a Counselor at Groups Recover Together, you will play a pivotal role in our organization.

If your passion lies in facilitating group therapy, this position is tailored for you. In this role, you will not be expected to manage every aspect of care independently. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the transformative journeys of our members while being an integral part of a multidisciplinary care team that includes prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and administrative staff. Together, this team delivers a holistic clinical approach grounded in the belief that counseling, medication, and community support are vital for achieving lasting recovery. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead the treatment team, serving as the expert on addiction and recovery, and coordinate decisions regarding each member's treatment plan.
  • Manage a caseload and schedule that aligns with the needs of the office and region while enhancing your clinical expertise.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective implementation of the clinical service model.
  • Facilitate 2-3 one-hour group therapy sessions that cultivate recovery skills and foster a sense of community, utilizing our established curriculum.
  • Document members' progress through outcome measures and client feedback.
  • Engage proactively in community outreach initiatives, including:
    • Distributing informational materials to community stakeholders to promote Groups and its mission.
    • Participating in community meetings focused on substance abuse and addiction issues.
We offer a range of benefits for our team members, including:
  • No mandatory one-on-one sessions or intake assessments, allowing you the autonomy to lead groups based on your expertise.
  • A healthy work-life balance with flexible scheduling tailored to fit your lifestyle and the needs of our members.
  • Competitive compensation paired with a generous paid time off policy.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, dental, 401k with matching contributions, HSA, FSA, and paid parental leave.
  • Investment in your professional growth with paid time off for training and an annual stipend for continuing education.
  • A clear career advancement path based on merit, with a commitment to providing counselors the resources needed for growth within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Active behavioral health licensure in the state of Kentucky, including but not limited to: LCSW, LPP, LMHC, LPCC, LPC, LCADC, with a willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states.
  • A minimum of two years of experience leading group therapy in a substance use disorder setting.
  • Proficiency with technology, including EMR systems, telehealth software, and Google applications.
  • Demonstrated compassion, collaboration, and commitment to delivering quality care, with a focus on member success.
  • Availability to work 2-3 evenings per week as needed.
  • Preferred backgrounds may include mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, or medication-assisted treatment.
