Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Scan Technologist to join our team at Christiana Care's Newark Hospital Imaging Department. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing all phases of CT scan testing, working with hospital in-patients and outpatients, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scan testing, including verifying insurance pre-authorization and administering contrast media under physician supervision.
  • Assist in the learning process of students and new staff in department procedures, quality control, and radiation safety.
  • Administer i-STAT testing and accurately calculate GFR following established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development.
  • Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
Requirements
  • Completion of ARRT registry in CT Scan required.
  • Licensed by State of Delaware on Radiation Protection.
  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • Completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement.
