Join Our Team as a CT Scan Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Scan Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare's Newark Hospital Imaging Department. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all phases of CT scan testing, working with hospital in-patients and outpatients in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Operate CT scanner units, ensuring complete knowledge and proficiency in their use.
  • Verify insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patients.
  • Assist in the learning process of students and new staff in department procedures, quality control, and radiation safety.
  • Administer contrast media under physician supervision, assessing patients for adverse reactions and/or changes in patient status.
  • Perform i-STAT testing and accurate calculation of GFR following established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development.
  • Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
Requirements:
  • Completion of ARRT registry in CT Scan.
  • Licensed by State of Delaware on Radiation Protection.
  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • Completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement.
