About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server to join our team at Kimpton Shane Hotel. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality customer service by demonstrating excellent knowledge of our menu items and restaurant operations.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Act as an advocate for the restaurant, creating personal experiences for our guests and developing relationships that encourage repeat visits.
  • Support your team by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Receive and process guest orders accurately and efficiently, using our POS system.
  • Prepare and serve meal accompaniments, such as bread and condiments.
  • Learn and maintain product knowledge of our menu, wine, and beverage offerings.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Perform sidework, including opening bottled wine and performing setup and breakdown of stations.
  • Assist with setting and bussing tables, taking to-go orders, and answering phones as needed.
  • Attend all required trainings and meetings to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred.
  • Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (if applicable).
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn our restaurant POS system.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Possession of a flexible schedule, with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
