Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain finite element models to assess the structural integrity of our products
  • Analyze and validate the results of finite element simulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products
  • Characterize materials and components to ensure their suitability for our products
  • Participate in design reviews and present results to stakeholders
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in structural design
  • Fundamental understanding of solid mechanics, strength of materials, and finite element analysis
  • Experience with FEA software such as HyperMesh, SimLab, Abaqus, and ANSYS
  • Proven analytical skills based on first principles
  • Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in material modeling and testing
  • Knowledge of failure modeling of different types of materials
  • Experience with Abaqus, HyperMesh, and SimLab
  • Experience in validation tests
  • Experience with DIC, Universal Testing Machine, and DMA
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (NX and/or SolidWorks)
