Job Summary

As a mmWave IC Design Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-frequency circuits for wireless chips. Your expertise in RF and analog integrated circuit design will be crucial in creating innovative solutions for mmWave technology.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with platform architects and system engineers to define requirements for mmWave phased-array front-end and baseband blocks.
Design various transceiver blocks in TX, RX, and LX chains.
Partner with design, layout, and chip integration teams to integrate IP's and verify top-level functionality and performance.
Work with mmWave test engineers to bring up and characterize chips.

Requirements

Experience with mmWave, RF, and analog integrated circuit design.
Deep understanding of system specifications and ability to work with system architects to translate system requirements into circuit requirements.
Familiarity with various RF transceiver architectures and their trade-offs.
Extensive experience in simulation and design of lumped and distributed passive structures.
Proven experience in analysis, design, and implementation of mmWave low-noise, broadband, and/or high-power amplifiers, as well as mixers and oscillators.
Understanding of mmWave device modeling and circuit layout for optimum performance.

Education & Experience

Minimum requirement of BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant industry experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
