We are seeking a highly skilled Deaf Education Specialist to join our team at ProCare Therapy. As a Deaf Education Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting students with hearing impairments to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt Instructional Materials and Teaching Methods
- Provide Direct Instruction, Support, and Intervention
- Collaborate with General Education Teachers, Audiologists, and Parents
- Monitor and Assess Student Progress
- Manage Classroom Behavior and Create a Positive Learning Environment
- Certification: Active South Carolina teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred.
- Skills: Strong classroom management and behavioral skills are essential. Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Clearances: Must complete all required state and local clearances.
