POSITION OVERVIEW
The Motion Graphics Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the creation of motion graphics, assigning tasks, and ensuring that high-quality work is completed on schedule. This role will involve close collaboration with the Creative and Marketing teams to produce visually captivating motion graphics and animations for various digital platforms that engage and inform our partners and their clientele.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Motion Graphics Design team.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to ensure timely completion.
- Work alongside Creative and Marketing teams to design marketing materials, transforming static images into dynamic motion graphics and videos.
- Manage content lists for digital displays and oversee the monthly upload of materials to content management systems.
- Conduct site visits to key accounts to assess the effectiveness of digital displays and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
- Create standard operating procedures and training materials for content production, providing guidance to other designers.
- Collaborate with gaming manufacturers to acquire game title assets and maintain an internal asset library.
- Enhance motion graphic content through the integration of typography, visual effects, and audio.
- Optimize graphics for various screen sizes and resolutions to ensure consistent playback across devices.
- Maintain a strong focus on aesthetics and detail, ensuring deliverables meet high standards and client expectations.
- Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions to elevate visual communication and assist in storyboarding motion graphic projects.
- Stay informed on design trends and new tools to create innovative motion graphics that differentiate us from competitors.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Perform basic marketing tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4-6+ years of professional experience in Motion Graphics or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of managerial or leadership experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with project management systems.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Express.
- Working knowledge of Canva.
- Strong design skills with an emphasis on layout, audio, typography, and color theory.
- A passion for design and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to follow directions and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role requires prolonged periods of sitting and the use of hand and finger dexterity. Visual acuity is necessary for operating equipment and reading technical information. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
