Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will assist with all procedures in the interventional radiology lab, including scrubbing, circulating, recording, and monitoring patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient responses to care plans and communicate with the healthcare team to implement necessary changes.
  • Record relevant patient data on the medical record to provide an accurate reflection of care received.
  • Set up and successfully record right and left heart pressures, recognize pressures by waveform, and analyze and record values on the patient chart.
  • Participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively affect the overall patient experience.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology Technology and/or ARRT IR certification and/or RCIS with IR experience.
  • State of Florida professional license or certification and ARRT Interventional Radiology credential.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required.
  • New hire/transfer into higher skill level must obtain within 6 months. Required to work under ACLS credentialed IR tech until training certificate obtained.
  • Two years' experience in licensed field and one year of Interventional Radiology experience.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
