Simon Group Holdings (SGH) is a prominent private equity firm and family office established in 1985, with a diverse portfolio spanning energy supply and marketing, oil field services, logistics, sports, alcoholic beverages, real estate, technology incubation, aerospace and defense, and insurance solutions.
We are in search of a Financial Analyst with 2-3 years of relevant experience in a corporate and operational environment. This role will report directly to the Director of Finance and will play a critical role in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, capital expenditure evaluations, and addressing various financial inquiries as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Analyze and interpret financial data to project future financial outcomes and support the budgeting process.
- Long-term Strategic Development: Contribute to the formulation of long-term strategic initiatives by identifying financial trends and offering insights to guide business decisions.
- Capital Expenditure Analysis: Assess capital expenditure proposals utilizing financial metrics such as Net Present Value (NPV), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR).
- Comprehensive Financial Analysis: Perform variance and trend analyses, along with detailed assessments of the financial health of portfolio companies.
- Reporting and Presentation: Create and deliver clear and insightful financial reports and presentations for management, emphasizing key performance indicators and financial trends.
- Ad Hoc Financial Projects: Manage various ad hoc financial projects and requests as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within a corporate and operational context.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with PowerBI is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough financial analyses and effectively communicate findings.
- Strong communication skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to excel in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
- Preference for candidates pursuing or holding a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or equivalent professional certification.
