Position Overview:

The Logistics Import Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations related to import shipments. This role involves ensuring that all shipments are tracked, traced, and updated accurately to maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and update the status of shipments on a daily basis.
  2. Conduct daily AMS downloads to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  3. Perform precise and timely data entry into the E-FREIGHT system.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members through various channels.
  5. Review and analyze reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  6. Ensure accurate billing processes are followed for all customers.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including shipping lines and trucking companies.
  9. Meet established performance metrics to support departmental and organizational objectives.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operational workflows and efficiency.
  11. Report on workflow progress to management regularly.
  12. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in ocean import or freight forwarding is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an administrative or office environment.
  • An associate's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong customer service skills for effective interaction with vendors and clients.

Education and Experience:

Candidates should possess an associate's degree and/or relevant work experience in logistics or a related field.
