The Executive Director Nursing is responsible for the operation of nursing services across multiple units and serves as the site administrator at Providence Pacific Campus.
- Ensures that the provision of nursing services are integrated and in support of the North Puget Sound Service Area strategic plan with a focus on highly reliable care, performance improvement, and appropriate utilization of resources.
- Assumes an active leadership role inter-professionally and works collaboratively to ensure an integrated system for delivery of care.
- Maintains standards and systems for care delivery at Providence Pacific Campus, promoting evidence-based practice and supporting the management of productivity targets, patient acuity, and available resources.
- Ensures employee understanding and commitment to organization Mission, vision, and Core Values.
- Directs nursing services through the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, standards, and staffing plans.
- Creates an organizational climate that encourages teamwork, fosters mutual trust and motivation, and engages a high level of commitment to the purpose and values of the organization.
- Ensures that nursing practice is evidence-based, meets all regulatory, safety, and performance standards, and promotes top-of-license performance.
- Works closely with service line directors, shared services, and other leaders to represent nursing and patient care for inpatient services and operational needs of agency partners.
- Assesses the quality of care rendered and encourages improvement activities that contribute to quality and economy of nursing services.
- Participates in the negotiation and monitoring of contract compliance with physicians, service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains departmental customer satisfaction and quality management programs that exceed community standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develops a departmental strategic plan that identifies objectives for increasing market share and volumes, and develops annual departmental budgets that reflect cost-effective means of delivering services.
- Manages human resources to achieve high levels of performance and employee satisfaction, ensuring formal workforce planning processes and effective labor management relationships.
- Complies with Providence and unit-specific infection control, risk management, safety, and OSHA guidelines and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and business-related information and promotes sensitivity to cultural and religious beliefs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
- Washington Registered Nurse License
- 5 years of acute care professional experience within the last seven years
- Demonstrated experience as administrative supervisor or director (preferred)
