Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be expected to:

  • Conduct thorough discovery processes.
  • Draft various legal documents, including motions and briefs.
  • Take depositions and conduct witness examinations during trials.
  • Engage directly with clients, providing front-line legal support.
Trial Experience

This role offers invaluable trial experience across a diverse range of cases, providing opportunities for direct client interaction and professional growth.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a Juris Doctor degree from an A.B.A. accredited institution with strong academic credentials.
  • Be an active member in good standing with the State Bar of Washington or another relevant State Bar.
  • Have at least one year of experience in civil litigation or jury trials, preferably in insurance defense.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, enabling the management of multiple tasks with professionalism.
  • Demonstrate expert-level written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, fostering relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and meet demanding deadlines effectively.
  • Show proficiency in necessary technology, including Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn and take on new challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Be self-motivated, disciplined, and flexible in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Possess superior decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience in a paperless work environment is advantageous.
  • Ability to articulate complex legal matters clearly and confidently.
  • Work effectively with diverse professionals across the organization.
  • Have a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact and strategize effectively in challenging cases.
