Aircraft Maintenance Technician Job Description

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of aircraft components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with aircraft systems, including engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to complete maintenance tasks and projects.
  • Document maintenance activities and record-keeping in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Three years of experience in aviation maintenance, with a focus on rotary wing aircraft.
  • Valid A&P license or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with military aircraft maintenance.
  • Knowledge of military and/or company forms required by work specifications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI(T1) Public Trust Security Clearance.
