Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects focused on the study of cellular and molecular mechanisms associated with auditory function impairment and hearing loss in neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for conducting research projects, developing and refining new experimental procedures, and presenting research data at national and international meetings. The candidate will also be responsible for teaching and supervising graduate students, research assistants, and junior laboratory members to perform physiological, molecular, and cellular biological assays.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have a PhD in a relevant field and a strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, or a related field. The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
