We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pathologist to lead our pathology department at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center. As the Director of Pathology, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the field of pathology and contributing to our mission of serving through excellence in patient care, research, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the pathology department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve pathology services and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of pathology services
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pathology and implement new technologies and techniques
- Supervise and mentor pathology staff, including residents and fellows
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
- Eligibility for West Virginia state medical licensure
- Completion of an accredited pathology residency program
- Board certified/eligible in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology
- Preferred experience with surgical pathology, hematopathology, cytopathology, and autopsy, in addition to clinical experience in hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and blood bank
