Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team, with a strong background in civil litigation and insurance defense. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing complex cases, preparing and arguing motions, and conducting depositions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of complex insurance defense cases from beginning to end
  • Prepare and argue motions, including summary judgments
  • Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts
  • Engage in discovery and trial preparations
  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements
  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients, ensuring their best interests are protected
  • Collaborate with team members to develop effective defense strategies

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar of New York
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an associate attorney, with a focus on civil litigation and insurance defense
  • Proven experience representing clients in all stages of the litigation process
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
