We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team at CSI Group, LLP. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our partners in managing cases, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and representing clients in legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Assist in managing a caseload of client matters from inception to resolution under the supervision of senior attorneys. Maintain organized and up-to-date client files, including drafting wills, trusts, and estate planning documents, and assisting in handling all facets of a real estate transaction, including attending closings.
  • Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research on various issues, including case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents. Prepare legal memoranda, briefs, motions, and other documents as needed.
  • Client Representation: Represent clients in court, mediation, depositions, and administrative hearings. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and timely manner.
  • Drafting and Reviewing Documents: Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other case-related materials.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress, answering questions, and managing client expectations. Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Negotiation and Settlement: Assist in negotiating settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, working to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, ensuring all deadlines are met and filings comply with court rules.
  • Discovery Management: Assist in all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document production, and preparing for depositions.
  • Legal Strategy Development: Work with senior attorneys to develop case strategies, identify legal issues, and provide recommendations for advancing client objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • NJ Attorney License (Required), Admission in NY, FL or PA a plus.
  • Active membership in the [State] Bar and in good standing.
  • 1-3 years of relevant legal experience preferred (experience level may vary based on firm requirements and practice area).
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and commitment to client service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms.
