Job Overview

A critical care nurse is required to work nights in our Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Grandview Medical Center. This role will involve evaluating patients, planning and implementing nursing care, and assisting physicians during examinations and procedures. As a registered nurse, you will administer medications, perform patient tests, and teach patients and families about their conditions and self-care skills. The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree in nursing and be certified as a registered nurse. With a wide range of creativity and latitude expected, this position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Additionally, the selected candidate will have experience working with patients who require intensive care. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for registered nurses in Alabama is $75,990. Grandview Medical Center is a 434-bed regional referral center and tertiary-care facility located in Birmingham, Ala.
