Job Summary

CEMEX is seeking a skilled Ready Mix Truck Driver to join our team. As a Ready Mix Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to various construction sites. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to construction sites
  • Check loads to ensure product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner
  • Estimate slump of concrete and distinguish between a proper mix and one that is too rocky or too sandy
  • Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure delivery to the correct customer and job site
  • Strive to meet customer expectations and achieve highly positive customer satisfaction survey results
  • Develop working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to maximize opportunities for CEMEX
  • Keep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness and maintain personal appearance
  • Complete pre and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies
  • Perform roadside repairs and maintain good working knowledge of traffic routes

Requirements

  • Valid commercial drivers license (CDL A or B)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Acceptable CSA - MVR
  • No DUIs or DWIs in the last 5 years, no more than 3 moving violations in the previous 3 years
  • High school diploma, preferred

Working Conditions

This role requires continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors. Must wear protective equipment while at the location.
