Job Summary:

Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and act as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring timely interventions.
  • Coordinates care planning with other disciplines, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
  • Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals and areas for improvement.
  • Participates in hourly rounding to ensure patient satisfaction and comfort.
  • Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s), overseeing the department and making decisions as needed.
  • Supervises other members of the healthcare team, providing guidance and support as required.

Requirements:

  • Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
  • CPR certification.
  • ACLS certification as applicable by Facility/by Department.
  • Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Preferred experience in acute care, with certification in specialty area of practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN degree.
  • 1 year of acute care experience, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Certification in specialty area of practice.
