Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Newnan Health & Rehab. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide daily care to patients, including personal grooming and hygiene, and support in care such as oral, denture, and skin care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care to patients, including personal grooming and hygiene
  • Support in care such as oral, denture, and skin care
  • Assist patients in daily care such as bathing, dressing, and bathroom activities
  • Assist patients in and out of bed and into wheelchair with the correct use of the transfer belt
  • Take vital signs of patients, e.g., temperature, blood pressure, and respiration, and record information
  • Assist patients to dining area for meals and document intake of nourishment
  • Assist in personal grooming of patients, e.g., brushing hair, trimming fingernails and toenails, and shaving
  • Turn patient intermittently if patient is bedridden due to illness
  • Document and/or report information regarding the patients' health, I&O, any change of medical condition, and care given
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as requested
  • Understand and utilize care plans
  • Identify the four basic food groups on a sample breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal
  • Apply and release restraints and provide exercise
  • Practice proper body mechanics while moving/transferring patients
  • Provide range of motion exercises for patients
  • Recognize and report signs/symptoms of abuse and/or change in condition
  • Properly document in accordance with established guidelines

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent preferred
  • Have a current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the State of Georgia
