Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute electrical plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate and safe installations.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and assemble electrical conduit, as well as install cable and duct banks.
  • Install control and distribution apparatus, and fasten them in place.
  • Test and start up systems to ensure electrical compatibility and safety.
  • Observe and troubleshoot installed equipment to identify hazards and areas for improvement.
  • Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
  • Operate a range of electrical and mechanical tools, including power, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
  • Estimate and manage resources, materials, and time to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Inspect subordinate work and provide feedback to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience in the field or a related area.
  • Strong working knowledge and skills for the position, including proficiency in electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
  • Physical ability to work in a construction environment, with exposure to changing outdoor weather conditions, and to move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medical.
