Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our electrical crew, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret electrical plans and specifications to determine the best course of action for installation and repair
  • Measure, cut, bend, and assemble electrical conduit and cable
  • Install control and distribution apparatus and fasten in place
  • Test and start up electrical systems to ensure compatibility and safety
  • Observe and troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems to identify hazards and areas for improvement
  • Work with high and low voltage systems, and operate electrical and mechanical hand tools
  • Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities, and determine time, costs, and resources needed for electrical activities
  • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with contract plans and specifications
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in electrical work
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and tools
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with management and supervision
  • Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools
  • Ability to work in a construction environment, with exposure to changing outdoor weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
Working Conditions

This position requires constant movement around a construction site, with exposure to changing outdoor weather conditions. You will be required to work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
