Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at HCA HealthONE Denver Heart. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for scheduling and canceling patient appointments, checking-in and checking-out patients, and entering charges and payments. You will also be responsible for answering the telephone, verifying patient insurance and demographics, and collecting co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances. Additionally, you will perform selected administrative duties and assist nursing staff as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and canceling patient appointments
  • Checking-in and checking-out patients
  • Entering charges and payments
  • Answering the telephone
  • Verifying patient insurance and demographics
  • Collecting co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances
  • Performing selected administrative duties
  • Assisting nursing staff as needed
Requirements:
  • One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • Medical Assistant Certification - required
  • Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is acceptable
