In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate medication placement into divvyPACKS, operating robotic machinery, and managing the workflow from initial dispensing to quality assurance. You will assist pharmacists with various tasks including receiving, shipping, counting, and packaging medications.
Work Schedule: Standard working hours with some required holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate automated machinery for pre-sorting and packaging medications, including managing exception trays and overseeing workflow stages from dispensing to quality control.
- Accurately count and fill prescription vials, applying labels to bulk prescription items.
- Prepare and ship completed divvyPACKS, ensuring correct labeling on dispensers and shipping boxes.
- Organize and prioritize shipping boxes to ensure timely delivery.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records with a strong focus on detail and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Act as a liaison between pharmacists and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Ensure timely processing of orders while meeting clinical requirements prior to fulfillment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (or higher).
- Illinois State Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain within two years of employment).
- Basic computer skills and typing proficiency.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to handle small tablets and manipulate objects with hands; ability to perceive size, shape, temperature, or texture through touch.
- Ability to lift and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to see objects closely and distinguish colors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multiple software programs for medication order fulfillment.
- Mathematical skills for basic calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Familiarity with automated medication packing machines.
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board and maintenance of current certification.
