Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a Senior Electronics Technician to join our dedicated team. This role is based entirely on-site.

The Senior Electronics Technician plays a crucial role in executing in-house evaluations, diagnostics, and calibration of produced sub-assemblies and completed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot circuits, components, assemblies, and final products generated by the manufacturing sector.
  • Conduct various assessments using standardized procedures, preparing test samples, adjusting and operating equipment, documenting test results, and identifying discrepancies due to equipment failures or observational inaccuracies.
  • Assist in enhancing, testing, and assessing new equipment as it becomes available.
  • Provide accurate reports on the performance of current designs.
  • Evaluate assemblies and final systems, interpret assessment results, and document findings related to malfunctions.
  • Support Manufacturing and Engineering by conveying technical insights regarding equipment issues and solutions.
  • Adhere to and promote all company policies, departmental standards, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Perform rework and repairs on assemblies as necessary.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED along with Formal Electronics Training.
  • Extensive knowledge of both digital and analog circuitry, DSP technology, microprocessors, and D/A control devices.
  • Proficient in utilizing electronic testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, meggers, and signal generators.
  • Competence in soldering is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective written and verbal communication abilities, enabling smooth interaction with colleagues and clients.
  • Aptitude for translating technical jargon into understandable language.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active Interim or Secret Security Clearance and the capability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with CMPro, Jira, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of ISTQB national testing standards and certification.
