Job Summary

The South Whittier School District is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Inclusion Aide/SDC to join our team. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will work closely with certificated personnel to provide individualized support to students with diverse needs.

This is an on-call, as-needed position, requiring flexibility and adaptability. You will work in a classroom or other learning environment, providing academic and social support to students, and assisting teachers with instructional tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including those with multiple handicaps
  • Assist teachers with instructional tasks, such as preparing materials and supervising students
  • Help students develop social and academic skills, and promote independence
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of college courses or an A.A. degree preferred
  • First-Aid and CPR certificates required; may obtain within the first 3 months of employment
  • Ability to speak and understand English is a requirement
