Hotel Night Auditor Job Description

Hilton Garden Inn Danbury is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Night Auditor. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of hotel transactions and maintaining the integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Registration and Room Assignment: Register guests, assign rooms, and provide information on hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Financial Transactions: Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests. Post charges for room, food, liquor, or telephone services.
  • Communication: Answer, receive, and transfer incoming and outgoing calls, messages, and faxes using various means.
  • Accounting and Verification: Verify customers' credit, establish payment methods, and account for all cash and make deposits according to hotel and company policies.
  • Guest Services: Assist guests with check-out payments or charges, answer inquiries, and record guest comments or complaints.
  • Computer Skills: Access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Attendance and Safety: Report to work on time, follow company and safety policies, and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Additional Duties: Assist other departments as needed, set up breakfast, and perform PM laundry duties.

Requirements: Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency with computers and a fast-paced environment.
