Job Title: Activity Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Hillcrest Heights Healthcare Center.

Job Summary:

The Activity Assistant will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, and emotional support programs for our residents. This position requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead group activities, including therapeutic and diversionary programs, in accordance with resident needs and care plans.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings.
  • Update and maintain resident activity calendars and communicate with residents and families regarding upcoming events.
  • Participate in special events and outings, ensuring necessary supplies are available and returned properly.
  • Observe and record resident behavior, mood, and attendance, and report to the Activity Director.
  • Involve residents and families in planning activity programs when possible.
  • Ensure accurate and informative charting of activity progress notes.
  • Arrange transportation for field trips as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to plan and lead groups.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
