We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our oncology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our services.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-certification processes
- Act as a clinical liaison with physician practices, interacting with pre-visit services
- Pre-register and register patients with accurate demographic and financial data
- Collect patient balances, co-payments, and other payment types
- Verify coverage and obtain prior authorization and referrals as needed
- Manage daily appointment schedules, including reminder calls and referrals
- Transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment
- Assist with scheduling for other imaging services and ancillary services
- Minimum 1 year of medical office or related customer service experience
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong background in customer service may be considered in lieu of medical office experience
- Ability to manage conflict effectively and professionally
- Excellent time management skills, with an emphasis on meeting deadlines
- Good customer service skills and interpersonal skills
