Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Technician to join our team at Management Recruiters International. As a Pipeline Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining natural gas pipeline systems in accordance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Pipeline Systems: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of natural gas pipeline systems, adhering to regulations and industry standards.
  • Perform Leak Surveys: Conduct regular leak surveys using flame ionization units to detect and repair any issues.
  • Inspect and Test Equipment: Inspect, test, and rebuild pressure regulators, odorization equipment, glycol bath heaters, pipeline valves, and cathodic protection systems.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all testing and patrols.
  • Utility Line Locates: Use pipeline location equipment to locate and mark utility lines.
  • Gas Compression Operations: Perform gas compression operations and inspections.
  • Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on pressure reducing/meter stations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Field Experience: 3+ years of experience operating natural gas pipeline facilities and equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs on pressure regulators, valves, compressors, and bath heaters.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of PHMSA pipeline safety regulations and procedures for gathering, distribution, and transmission lines.
  • Design and Construction: Experience with the design and construction of natural gas pipeline systems is a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel overnight at least 50%.
