Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the acute care setting. The NP will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess patients, develop treatment plans, and provide education to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examinations, to identify health needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Provide education to patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each patient, taking into account their medical history, lifestyle, and cultural background.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure that their needs are met.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in acute care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care setting.
  • One year of experience within the past three years as a NP providing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures and/or those who have undergone surgical/invasive procedures.
