Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations, to identify potential health issues.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
- Prescribe medications and treatments, as appropriate, to manage patient symptoms and improve outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance the quality and safety of patient care.
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of California.
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care setting.
- One year of experience within the past three years as a NP providing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures and/or those who have undergone surgical/invasive procedures.
- RN First Assist experience required if assisting with surgical procedures.
