Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Manage all areas of the restaurant to achieve positive and consistent sales growth, while meeting or exceeding company goals in all profit and loss categories.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and support restaurant employees, providing consistent and appropriate feedback to facilitate their development and enhance the overall operation.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverages meet company standards, performing line checks to guarantee proper specifications on weights, temperatures, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Ensure that the unit is properly staffed for all time periods, maintaining a level that guarantees overall guest satisfaction and increases sales.
  • Training and Development: Interview, hire, and train high-quality hourly candidates, conducting orientations and following up with IHOP's training program.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports at the end of each shift, including Daily Sales Reports, Daily Cash Interims, Daily Labor controls, and other such processes that ensure the control of all company assets.
  • Inventory Management: Order food, small wares, uniforms, and other necessary products to unit par levels, maintaining the highest levels of operational standards.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure a safe working and guest environment, reducing the risk of injury and accidents, and promptly notifying the Area Supervisor in the event of an incident.
  • Company Image: Project a favorable image of IHOP, promoting its goals and objectives, and fostering public recognition and acceptance of its areas of endeavor.
Requirements
  • Work Schedule: Typically work indoors, but may occasionally work outdoors, and be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays when restaurants are busiest.
  • Flexibility: Be willing to work unpredictable hours to fill in for absent workers and be aware of changing events in the local area to ensure proper staffing.
  • Relocation: Be willing to work at any local units or possibly relocate.
