Rebar Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Rebar Specialist to join our team at G R Birdwell Construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing reinforcing steel, including rebar, wire mesh, and post-tension systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install rebar in wall footings, grade beams, column footings, caps, and footing steps
• Install rebar templates, embeds, and anchor bolts
• Offload and pack rebar to the appropriate location
• Install all required accessories to support rebar in its correct location
• Install various sizes of rebar in walls and columns
• Pre-tie rebar for walls and columns when necessary
• Install mechanical splices, anchors, and embeds for miscellaneous metals in the correct locations
• Install all required accessories to support and hold rebar in the final location
• Stress post-tension at the required time to meet the appropriate design criteria through the proper use of tensioning equipment

Requirements

• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and working environments
• Ability to exert physical effort handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds
• Pass a hair follicle drug screen and background check

$55,000 - $65,000 per year
