Senior Weekend RN for Long Term Care Facility

At the Good Samaritan Society, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. As an RN on our weekend coverage team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to our seniors while working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team.
We offer a competitive salary of $40-$52 per hour based on experience, along with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a generous time-off package. Our 32-bed facility provides long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and hospice care, allowing you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work closely with residents and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals, to plan and implement care that meets each resident's unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and developing care plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions
- Assess resident needs and develop plans to meet those needs, including education and support
- Supervise and delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and progress
Requirements:
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred
- Holds an active, unencumbered RN license in the state where practicing
- Orients to department-specific competencies and certifications as required
