Job Title: Psychiatric Care Support Specialist

As a Psychiatric Care Support Specialist, you will be integral to delivering essential patient care and operational support within an inpatient mental health facility, collaborating closely with licensed healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting healthcare personnel with patient-related tasks and procedures
  • Maintaining a secure environment and ensuring effective care delivery
  • Taking initiative for your professional growth while aiding in the development of your colleagues
  • Executing unit support tasks as assigned
  • Performing additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. An Associate's degree in psychology, social sciences, or related fields is preferred
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of verified experience in providing patient care within an inpatient psychiatric environment or equivalent. Candidates with an Associate's Degree are exempt from the experience requirement
  • Licensure: Active CNA certification through the appropriate state board or relevant certification

Physical Requirements:

This position involves frequent bending, stooping, and mobility. Strong communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to lift and maneuver weights. There may be exposure to various substances and infectious materials.
