Key Responsibilities
  • Empty waste baskets and other refuse containers to dispose of trash and recycling materials.
  • Clean, dust, and wipe down all types of surfaces and furniture in cubicles, offices, and conference rooms.
  • Service, clean, and disinfect restrooms, restock toilet paper, soap, paper dispensers, and refill hand sanitizer stations.
  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Disinfect high-touch areas of the building and office spaces.
  • Vacuum carpet, spot clean, shampoo, and extract on an assigned basis.
  • Re-wax and buff floors using heavy-duty electric scrubbers and polishers; vacuum and shampoo all carpeted areas with vacuum equipment on an assigned basis.
  • Clean interior window seals, partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Record supply inventory as directed and inform management when cleaning supplies are low.
  • Notify the manager of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Follow task lists and work independently in an efficient and responsible manner.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
  • Flexible schedule and perform other related duties as assigned
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move over 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemical usages for different janitorial duties
  • Time management and multitasking abilities
  • Organizational skills
  • Good verbal communication
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Preferred Experience: Custodial Service: 1 year
