Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Nurse to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Orthopedic Clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic professional nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient education plans to promote health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address patient needs, and to develop and implement plans of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school, or nursing diploma.
  • 6 months of experience in a related field, preferably in pediatric orthopedic nursing.
  • RN License (AR or Compact State) - Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in pediatric orthopedic nursing, with a focus on patient-centered care and family engagement.
  • Knowledge of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered Care and ability to apply it in practice.
  • Basic knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices and ability to implement them in a pediatric orthopedic setting.
