Key Responsibilities- Greet clients warmly and professionally in exam rooms, establishing a positive and reassuring atmosphere.
- Take vital signs and obtain medical histories from clients, ensuring accurate and comprehensive information is relayed to our veterinarians.
- Assist veterinarians during physical exams, vaccinations, and medication administration, demonstrating a strong understanding of medical procedures and protocols.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including taking vital signs, placing IV catheters, and administering fluids as needed.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures requiring sedation or anesthesia, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hygiene.
- Follow veterinarians' instructions and guidance, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Maintain knowledge of proper procedures and protocols, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in veterinary medicine.
- Be willing to continue learning and growing in your role, embracing opportunities for professional development and advancement.
Certification as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is highly recommended, but not currently required. However, we encourage all candidates to pursue certification to enhance their skills and knowledge.
