Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the comfort of patients' homes.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, growth-stage company that is redefining healthcare delivery through mobile and virtual healthcare. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work as part of a clinical care team with a DispatchHealth Medical Technician (DHMT) to deliver care in patients' homes through our innovative in-home care service lines.

You will perform comprehensive health assessments, diagnose and treat complex illnesses, and provide therapeutic interventions such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures. You will also use critical thinking skills and follow evidence-based standards of practice to ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose and treat complex illnesses
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures
  • Use critical thinking skills and follow evidence-based standards of practice
  • Analyze test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange appropriate follow-up for patients
  • Educate patients and families on how to treat their acute illness and manage their health and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital, Family Practice, Cardiac, Pulmonary, or other relevant areas
  • Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution
  • Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Nationally board certified, current
  • Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
