Essential functions:
Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Document patient care given. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Job requirements:
Minimum education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN). Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Required skills: Licenses: Registered Nurse, KY. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
