Advanced Medical Practitioner

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Medical Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality medical care to patients across various clinical settings.
About the Role:
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, to inform patient care plans.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, taking into account individual patient needs and treatment goals.
- Perform medical procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and minor surgical interventions, under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms, to aid in the diagnosis and management of medical conditions.
- Provide patient education and counseling on preventive healthcare measures, treatment options, and medication management.
- Document patient encounters accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate communication among healthcare providers.
- Stay current with medical literature, best practices, and evidence-based guidelines to inform clinical decision-making and enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant, in good standing, with the ability to practice independently within the scope of practice defined by state regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a specialty or setting related to the position.
- Proficiency in performing medical procedures, such as suturing, wound care, and casting, with demonstrated competence and confidence.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care, with a focus on promoting positive health outcomes and improving patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments, while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
