At Enzinc, we're revolutionizing the energy storage landscape with our cutting-edge zinc-based battery solutions. As an Anode R&D Engineer or Senior Anode R&D Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in refining our zinc anode formulation for next-generation battery and cell platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, fabricate, and characterize zinc sponge electrodes to optimize anode properties and performance.
  • Collaborate with the Cell team to test new anode formulations and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
  • Develop and optimize processes for mixing, coating, and thermal treatment of zinc-based slurries.
  • Manage R&D furnace schedules and coordinate with technicians to execute development runs.
  • Write, execute, and report on test plans, and develop processes, SOPs, and quality specifications for battery testing and customer battery development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience fabricating and testing battery electrodes, with a strong preference for zinc-based chemistries.
  • Knowledge of slurry rheology, casting, drying, and thermal processing, and its impact on film properties.
  • Experience characterizing mechanical and structural properties of porous materials.
  • Familiarity with DOE, FMEA, and Taguchi methodologies is preferred.
