Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Development Specialist to join our team at PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary. As a key member of our project development team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our sales team in the pre-sale development of opportunity scope, costing, and application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of electrical power systems, including commercial and industrial electrical power systems, and renewable energy distributed energy sources.
  • Provide technical support to sales team in the development of project scope, schedule, risk, and project information management.
  • Assist in the review of specifications, drawings, and customer requests to determine project scope, schedule, risk, and all technical delivery requirements.
  • Participate in new product offering discussions and maintain awareness of industry product and technology trends.
  • Collaborate with sales staff, product engineering, and manufacturing leads to ensure complete and shared project understanding.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience as an electrical consultant, application/development engineer, or related industry position.
  • Strong CAD skills and computer software skills.
  • Ability to develop concept drawings sets and power system modeling skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
